The WDAC Aluminum Connector is designed as a starter bracket for the 4' x 8' 45° or the 6' x 8' cedar sided dock sections from ShoreStation. The WDAC connector is use to make an "L" or "T" that connects off of an existing Cedar Sided Classic Dock section
The WDAC can also be used as a starting point for the dock system. It can be attached to a concrete sea wall, sidewalk, wood retaining wall or just an anchored wood starting point. This enables the installer to know exactly where the dock will be installed year after year. It can be lagged into the concrete or wood with the use of anchor bolts or lag screws.
How It Installs
Remove three carriage bolt, lock washer and hex nuts on the wood dock section corner that you want to mount the wood dock connector bracket. The wood dock connector bracket attaches to the side of the wood dock section using two (2) #12-11 X 1-1/4" phillips flat screws and two (3) carriage bolts. Replace the three carriage bolts, lock washers and hex nuts into the hole location removed from. Do not tighten.
Level the bracket with the trim board an 1/8" above the bracket. Tighten the two carriage bolts at this time. Screw the two (2) #12-11 X 1-1/4 phillips flat screws through the connector bracket into the trim board. On some applications where several WDC brackets are used in a row; a 7/16" hole must be drilled through the WDC bracket for the latch pin to be locked in position.
