Key Features and Design

Each PolyDock connector features high-density polyethylene (HDPE) on the top and bottom, providing exceptional durability and an ideal balance of flexibility and rigidity. These connectors span the full length or width of dock sections, efficiently distributing wave energy across the dock system. This design ensures superior stability and a smooth, flat walking surface even in challenging weather conditions.

Additionally, these connectors float, preventing loss if dropped during installation.

Ultra-durable composite rods securely connect the top and bottom pieces of the connector. These rods are designed to remain tight, minimizing the risk of loose connectors and ensuring long-term stability. The rods are fastened to the bottom connector for quick and efficient installation.

The stainless steel hardware is corrosion-resistant, making it suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater environments. PolyDock connectors can be tightened using standard tools such as a wrench, ratchet, or cordless drill—no specialized tools are required.

The innovative design allows for minimal movement between dock sections while maintaining strength and rigidity. This balance creates a smooth walking surface, reduces wear on the system, and distributes wave energy evenly across the dock structure.

Available Connector Options

The PolyDock Section Connectors are available in Tan and Gray finishes with the following configurations:

Note: Notched connectors are used to create larger platforms by filling voids at connection points.

Assembly and Installation Overview

1. Assemble Connectors:
   • Insert composite rods into the PolyDock bottom connector (with 3/4" diameter holes) and secure using a #12 x 1" oval screw. Fully tighten the screw.
   • Insert a 5/16" x 4-1/2" hex bolt through the lock washer, rectangular washer, and the top PolyDock connector. Thread the bolt into the connector rod about 1/4".
2. Attach Connector to Dock Sections:
   • Place the connector loosely on the ridge of one dock section at the connection point.
   • Align the second dock section and push down on the bolt head to hold the bottom connector in place.
   • Slide the second dock section into position, ensuring the connector fits over both the top and bottom ridges of the dock sections.
3. Tighten Bolts: Tighten bolts from the top of the dock to approximately 20 ft/lbs. If needed, add weight or have someone stand on the far end of the dock to align the sections more easily.
4. Verify Alignment: Ensure vertical channels on dock sections line up, and the composite rods fit within these channels.
