Bio-Health Pod "Generator" - This is the large blue plastic drum that installs below the water line, beneath the dock and can be mounted to one of the support posts and is where all the bacteria grows and is released into the water. The units housing is also filled with water to help with submerging it below the water's surface. Air is pumped into this unit from a pump on shore and is released beneath the drum where it travels through the system pushing the bacteria out and distributes it into the surrounding water. From here, the billions of bacteria go out and start consuming and digesting muck and algae. The large plastic drum can be considered the main "hotel" for the bacteria and the aeration is the shuttle that pushes them out of the hotel to the surrounding areas of the lake or pond.

Bio-Health Nano Pods - These are where the bacteria go to live once they have left the main pod and are made up of a concrete weight with a tethered float on an adjustable rope and between the weight and the float are six porous blocks. The porous material is a perfect spot for the bacteria to live and reproduce away from the main pod. So the Nano Pods are satellites or "Condos" and are placed in the vicinity where you want the bacteria to consume muck or algae and really become the new home for the bacteria. Once installed for a little while, the Nano Pods become full of bacteria and are spread through-out the entire area that you want the system to work and this is where other prodcuts fail by not giving the bacteria anywhere to live. The Bio-Health Pod System includes 10 of these Nano Pods standard and others can be added.

HOW ITS INSTALLED

The main Bio-Health Pod systems are very easy to install and maintain. Each system includes a mounting bracket that allows it to be mounted to a dock support or post in the water. The pod needs to be mounted above the lake bottom, but completely submerged to work best. Once installed, the air hose needs to be ran to the unit and this is usually easiest beneath the dock. The unit comes standard with 100' feet of hose can be used if needed. The air hose connects to the pump on shore that is hidden beneath the faux rock and base and the pump needs a GFI protected 110v power source.

The 10 Nano Pods need to be placed around the area where you want the muck and algae to be eaten in about a 400 square foot area. The Nano Pods are adjustable and work in water depths of about two foot to about five foot in depth and work on all types of lake bottoms. Once everything is installed, you can add the bacteria to the main pod and start the pump and aeration.

Lake Home Owners and Associations

• If you live on a lake, the last thing you want is for your lake bottom to be mucky, overgrown with weeds or covered in algae. Muck is like rocket fuel for invasive weeds and algae and herbicides and algicides are commonly used to get rid of the issue. Unfortunately, the dead plant material sinks to the bottom and decomposes adding more bio-mass to the already mucky bottom. As the amount of muck increases, the water depth decreases and the water temperatures go up and allows more sunlight to reach the lake bottom. These type of conditions also promote the growth of invasive invasive weed and algae growth quickly creating a vicious cycle of checmical treatments and overwhelming muck. 

Private Ponds and Golf Courses

• Whether your pond is used as a water trap on a golf course, to water flowers, plants and other crops or just a beautiful addition to your property, muck, weeds and algae can cause big problems. The traditional options are dredging and excavation, chemical treatments, or muck pellets in an effort to fix the problem. These solutions are typically expensive and temporary at best and often result in multiple treatments and more money spent without fully fixing the problem.

Nurseries and Farms

• It is important for a Nursery or Farm is to provide quality nourishment to a variety of plant-life and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the plants or crops to grow. Nutrients and supplements are not the only factor when it comes to healthy plants, the quality of water that each plant receives is just as, if not more, important. Oxygen, Alkalinity, PH and Soluble Salt levels determine how well the plant can absorb nutrients, and it stems from the quality of water that is sourced.

BEFORE AND AFTERS

Below we show some before and afters from some locations where this system has been installed. It is easiest to show before and afters for algae and weeds. Know that if the weeds and algae are disappearing, so is the muck. The Bio-Health Pod System removes muck and excess nutrients, and allows oxygen to replenish so that healthy plant life can thrive which helps eliminate algae.

Golf Course Pond

This golf course pond suffered from heavy algae and a strong unpleasant odor. Chemical treatments were little to no help and the golf course superintendent and neighboring homeowners were unhappy. A Bio-Health Pod System was installed and within 6 weeks the algae went away along with the noxious odor. This was a 1.5 acre pond and the system installed included 2 Main Bio-Health Pods and 44 Nano Pods.

Irrigation Pond

The following pictures show significant algae in the irrigation pond on the first day of installation of the Bio-Health Pod System.  Once the installed system had time to build up bacteria levels in the water column the algae was greatly reduced. Multiple visits were made to the site and the presence of algae in the irrigation pond was minimal or non existent. This was a 1.1 acre pond and the system installed included 1 Main Bio-Health Pod and 24 Nano Pods.

DO I NEED A PERMIT?

You will not need a permit for the Bio-Health Pod Systems. These systems deliver entirely natural treatment and are compliant with state and federal agencies.
