Aluminum Stair Systems with Handrails – Ideal for Waterfront Access, Docks, and Slopes
Looking for durable, low-maintenance outdoor stair systems for your lakefront, dock, or sloped property? Our aluminum stairways with handrails are designed for both portable and permanent installations, offering a strong, rust-free, and lightweight solution for safe and reliable access in all weather conditions.
Crafted entirely from marine-grade aluminum, these waterfront stair systems are corrosion-resistant and require zero painting or staining—making them the perfect maintenance-free stair solution for lakeside, riverfront, or elevated terrain access.
Available in two standard interior widths: 31.25" and 36", our stairs provide a comfortable and secure walking path for residential or light commercial use.
KEY FEATURES OF OUR ALUMINUM STAIRWAYS
- Stair Length Options: Choose from 4-foot to 20-foot models to match your access height.
- Standard Climb Angle: 45° approach for a comfortable, natural ascent and descent.
- Interior & Tread Width: 31.25" model = 29.25" tread; 36" model = 34" tread.

These modular aluminum outdoor stairs are ideal for custom setups—connect multiple units, add mid-span or top platforms, and even integrate optional lift mechanisms for raising/lowering in public spaces.
Example: A 20' aluminum stairway weighs only 200 lbs but supports over 1,600 lbs—installable by two people. Installations exceeding 100' are possible with support structures every 20 feet.
MOUNTING HARDWARE & INSTALLATION
Installation is simplified with our included attaching bracket. Two large pins at the top of the stairway fit securely into the bracket, creating a solid connection point. The bracket is designed to be mounted to a bulkhead or similar structure using at least four bolts. For safety, bolts should be placed on the bracket tabs to avoid tripping hazards. The bracket also includes tabs for attachment to both the top and side of the bulkhead, offering flexible mounting options.
The attaching bracket is included with your stairway purchase.
Optional adjustable leveling legs are available for uneven ground. Legs can be independently set to create a level footing on sand, grass, or sloped surfaces. Note: These legs add height to the first step and are sold separately using the dropdown menu above.
DETERMINING STEP HEIGHT
To select the correct stair size, calculate your vertical rise (height from top to bottom) and match it with an equal horizontal run based on a 45° stair angle. Refer to the diagram and model table below to find your ideal length.
Ensure the bottom surface is stable—concrete, wood, packed soil, or grass. For concrete pads, bolt the base down for extra support.
