CanDock Aluminum Anchoring Arm 5'
This Articulated or Stiff Arm Anchoring System is 5' long, designed for anchoring to the shore and connecting to various structures such as concrete walls, seawalls, large rocks, or any other robust structure capable of supporting this type of anchoring. The dock should maintain a parallel alignment with the shoreline, and the arms must be installed perpendicular to the shoreline to accommodate significant vertical movement.
Guidelines for Aluminum Anchoring Struts
- Fluctuation Range - Struts should allow for water level fluctuations of no more than 30% of the strut's total length. For example, a 10' strut can handle fluctuations of up to ±3'.
- Paired Configuration - Candockâs strut system is designed to work in pairs or more for optimal stability.
- Criss-Cross Cable Kit - A criss-cross cable kit is required for most installations. The standard cable kit supports 20' struts spaced up to 25' apart.
- Alignment - All struts should be as parallel to each other as possible and positioned perpendicular to the floating dock for effective performance.
- Protected Environment - This anchoring system is suitable for protected waters with wave heights no greater than 2'. Exceeding this limit may result in excessive wear and reduced performance.
- Strut Spacing - Struts should be spaced no more than 25' apart to maintain stability and proper linear geometry.
By following these recommendations, the articulated arm system will provide reliable and secure anchoring in appropriate environments.
