Sliding Anchor System for Calm Waters
This Sliding Anchor, made from highly durable plastic, is designed to be installed on the edge of the dock using the ears/tabs of the cubes. It is ideal for calm waters such as canals. The system must be used with Candock's Piles and PVC covers, which are secured at the top. White bolts and nuts are included with the anchor.
The specifications of the combined products, including the outside diameters and the steel pile, must remain unchanged to ensure proper functionality.
Guidelines for HDPE Sliding Anchor
- Upper Section of the Pile - The upper portion of the pile must be secured to an existing fixed structure on the shore. Candock offers several alternatives for this purpose: "Z" Bracket for 2 7/8" Steel Pile (16" and 6") or Galvanized Steel Adjustable 2 7/8" Steel Pile Support. Additional accessories and hardware can also be sourced locally for securing the pile.
- Lower Section of the Pile - The lower portion of the pile must be inserted at least 2' into the seabed. Refer to the pile driver and sledgehammer instructions for proper installation.
- Water Depth Limitations - The water depth should not exceed 10' to ensure sufficient rigidity. The pile's overall free span must remain within this limit.
- Vertical Alignment - All piles must be installed perfectly vertical. The use of a level is strongly recommended during installation.
- PVC Sleeve and Cap - All piles should be covered with a PVC sleeve and cap to prevent premature wear of the HDPE guides.
- Protected Environment - This piling system is designed for use in protected waters with wave heights of no more than 2'. Aggressive waters can lead to premature wear of the components, as the system allows minimal leeway for dock movement.
- Pile Configuration - Candock's piling system must be configured in pairs or more for optimal stability and functionality.
