CanDock 4' x 5' Landing/Reception Plate for Gangway

The Gangway Landing or Reception Plate is a durable plastic plate designed to protect the Candock system from friction caused by the movement of a gangway on its surface. It also helps distribute the load exerted by the gangway, ensuring greater stability and longevity.

The Gangway Reception Plate provides a smooth, flat surface for the gangway to rub, slide, or roll on, preventing premature wear of both the dock and gangway components. Proper positioning of the plate is crucial to fully cover the area where the gangway contacts the dock. For larger coverage, two reception plates can be installed side by side.

Installation Guidelines

• The plate itself serves as a template for drilling holes in the connecting pins.
• Important: Do not secure the plate directly to the cubes, as this could compromise their buoyancy. Instead, ensure that the holes and well-nuts are positioned on the surrounding connecting pins.
• The Gangway Reception Plate is particularly recommended for welded frame gangways 12' or longer, especially in locations with regular wave action or heavy pedestrian traffic.
