CanDock Handrail System
The CanDock Modular Handrail System is designed with the same innovative advantages as the CanDock Modular Floating Dock System, offering limitless configuration possibilities to create a safe and aesthetically pleasing railing system tailored to your CanDock dock. The system is versatile, customizable, and seamlessly integrates with the CanDock platform.
The system is highly customizable, using durable PVC railings and lightweight aluminum fittings connected through a quick-connect push-pin system. This ensures easy assembly and allows for flexible configurations, including junctions for lengths over 20 feet, caps, 45-degree corners, and 90-degree corners to accommodate docks of any shape. The same coupling mechanism used in the CanDock dock system is utilized for seamless integration.
Remember that each fitting added to an assembly requires a deduction in the PVC pipe length. The 45-Degree fittings compensate for 1 1/4" within a PVC section assembly in both directions.
Surface Post
- Designed as a guardrail when installed at "2-cube" intervals with CanDock's PVC pipes.
- Replaces a connecting pin and requires a sliding nut and specific tools for secure installation. Refer to the Owner's Manual for detailed instructions.
Peripheral Post
- Not intended as a guardrail.
- Must be installed at "2-cube" intervals or less.
- Mounted on the dock's perimeter using a bolt-for-cube/nut assembly method.
Additional Considerations
- Intervals (spacing) between each post should be two (2) cubes to provide sufficient rigidity for the whole assembly.
- A wider span can be considered, but the railings lose considerable strength.
- Ropes could be considered for the horizontal railings as an alternative to PVC tubes.
