ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
Begin the assembly process by initiating the rotation of the connecting pin by hand. Once the pin aligns with the sliding nut threads, continue screwing it in manually or using the appropriate tools. Ensure the connecting pins are tightened securely until snug, taking care not to overtighten.
ASSEMBLY TIPS
- When initially inserting the connecting pins in place, you might want to firmly “tap” the pin in place. This ensures a strong “initial” grip of the shaft threads into the sliding nut. Likewise, this “tap” will help you get the pin through the four cube tabs resting on top of the sliding nut.
- Once the assembly process is completed, align the notches of every connecting pin using the manual key. This simple operation will allow you to quickly locate any connecting pins which could have unscrewed over time.
- Always proceed with caution if using a power drill to fasten the connecting pins. The drill can have a tendency to “kick,” so use protective footwear. If using a power drill to unscrew pins, always loosen the pins manually before using the drill.
- Never use an “impact tool” to fasten the connecting pins, as it will surely damage the connecting pins and the assembly key for the drill as well.
