Adjustable screw legs are not for every user and are not necessary for many applications. While they are a handy and convenient system that works well they are best used for those who experience continuous and regular water level fluctuation.
Those who experience slow or gradual water level fluctuation may find that an adjustable screw leg is not a huge advantage. Many times for those who are installing a lift in an approximate water depth of 4' and only experience 12-18" of level changes the fluctuations can be account for when the lift is initially installed for the season.
