As a Packaging and General Labor Specialist, your role will primarily be based in our warehouse and yard settings. These environments can be dusty and noisy, and the temperature may vary with the season. You'll be required to regularly stand, walk, bend, and lift objects of various weights and sizes.

Work Environment:
As a Packaging and General Labor Specialist, your role will primarily be based in our warehouse and yard settings. These environments can be dusty and noisy, and the temperature may vary with the season. You'll be required to regularly stand, walk, bend, and lift objects of various weights and sizes.

As a crucial member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Pulling, packaging, and assembling products according to company standards.
- Operating and maintaining packaging equipment and mechanical components.
- Using hand tools for fabricating and assembling packaging materials (e.g., Table Saw, Miter Saw, Power Drill).
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Assisting in inventory counts and maintaining accurate records of products stored and shipped, reporting any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed, organizing goods in the designated staging area for outbound shipments or storage.
- Inspecting products for defects or damages before packaging to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, having the following qualifications would be highly beneficial:
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous experience in packaging, warehouse, transportation, distribution center, marine industry, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- The ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
- Proficiency in using common warehouse tools such as a banding device, pallet jack, and shrink-wrapping tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting packaging equipment.
- The capability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic Math Skills for Inventory and Order Processing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 to $17.50 per hour
